The key difference about our office is that we are strickly a chiropractic care office. We love what we do and we are proud to stand by all that chiropractic care offers. Your body may need massage, acupuncture or other therapies in order to reach your goals. We are always happy to reach out to another office for the care you seek.
Dr. Tyler employs several techniques to ensure an individulized adjustment based on what he sees your body needs at the time of your visit. At the beginning of each appointment Dr. Tyler will conduct a short interview to asses how he can best support your health. Dr. Tyler is trained in Logan Basic, Webster and Gonstadt techniques. He may also employ the drop table or, for a more focused adjustment, the activator.
If he feels it is necessary he may employ spinal decompression.
We utilize a state-of-the-art system in our office that allows us to measure and record how well a body is functioning, and how it is responding to care. This scan is preformed during the initial examination and may be repeated as you progress through care, allowing you and Dr. Tyler to compare pre and post results. It’s one thing to feel better while under care, and we want you to feel better, but it is our aim to work with your body and allow it to function at a higher level.
Over time, daily stress can change a person’s health. Muscles along the spine can shorten, spinal joints can begin to lock while postures twist and shift. Most importantly, the nerves inside the spine that connect the brain to the body start to be affected. The spinal nerve tension begins to change the core of your body.
The chiropractic “COREscore” is a powerful and simple way to measure and report the tension in your spinal nerves. Using three important measurements we are able to assess the stress present in your body (conscious or not). Heart rate variability determines your overall ability to adapt to the daily stress you encounter. Muscle tone and balance evaluates the control of the muscles that support and move your spine. Organ and gland control assesses the part of your nervous system that helps control your organs, glands, and blood vessels, and can be measured through the paraspinal temperature. These three scans are quick, easy, and non-invasive, allowing Dr. Tyler to accurately measure and assess your health as you continue to reach and exceed your health goals.
This technology is certified by the Space Foundation and is used on Super Bowl champions, Olympic Gold medalists and star athletes around the world. Dr. Tyler is excited to bring this technology to Longmont and offer it to families interested in improving their overall wellness as well as to athletes who are looking to improve their health in a measurable and predictable manner.
Spinal Decompression is the evolution of traction therapy. If it is appropriate for your course of care, spinal decompression may be recommended to help nourish the intervertebral discs, decrease radiating symptoms (such as sciatica), and assist in the speed of recovery while undergoing structural care. Dr. Tyler will be able to customize any decompression therapy to meet your specific needs, helping in acute and chronic problems and adapting the machine to work with neck or lower back.
In a recent study of 219 patients with herniated discs and degenerative disc disease, 86 percent who completed the therapy showed immediate improvement and resolution of their symptoms; 92 percent improved overall; five patients (2 percent) relapsed within 90 days of initial treatment.(Glonis T, Groteke E. Spinal Decompression. Orth Tech Review 5(6):36-39; Nov-Dec 2003.)
If you have suffered from any of these issues and not seen an improvement in other offices, this may be a great option for you.
If decompression is included in your Care Plan, you may anticipate spending an additional 15-30 minutes in the office once a week. Typically these are not included with your adjustment.
We are a wonderfully busy office and we wouldn't have it any other way! However, since our calender does fill so quickly we ask for 50% of the Initial Exam fee when we schedule your appointment.
